Blood tests and other samples (urine or other) are taken by appointment only, online at clicsante.ca.
Blood, urine and other samples are taken free of charge.
At each visit, you must bring:
- the request from your doctor, duly completed, signed and dated;
- your valid health insurance card.
Test results
Note that the specimen centres do not give out test results. Your doctor will inform you of your results.
Do I need to be fasting for my test?
Several tests no longer require you to be fasting. We strongly recommend that you consult the Liste des analyses nécessitant d’être à jeun (List of tests that require fasting)before making an appointment online.
If you need to be fasting, we recommend you make an appointment first thing in the morning. Note that the afternoon time slots are reserved for users aged 8 and over.
List of tests done only at the hospital
Some tests must be done at the hospital with a request from a doctor:
- Tests that are done at the Charles-Le Moyne hospital
Charles-Le Moyne hospital : these tests are done with an appointment. To take an appointment, you have to call 450 466-5000, extension 5054, from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to noon. - Tests that are done at the Haut-Richelieu hospital
Haut-Richelieu hospital : these tests are done with an appointment. To take an appointment, you have to call 450 359-5000, extension 2323, from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
