High-risk pregnancy (GARE) clinic

CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest

What is a high-risk pregnancy?

A high-risk pregnancy requires close monitoring. Pregnancy complications can be related to:

  • a health problem in the mother (before or during pregnancy);
  • a health problem in the fetus.

Are you having a high-risk pregnancy?

If a doctor detects a problem with your pregnancy during your prenatal visits, they will send you to the hospital’s perinatal clinic, specifically the high-risk pregnancy (GARE) clinic.

The multidisciplinary team at the GARE clinic can treat most maternal medical conditions detected during pregnancy and monitor the most common conditions affecting the fetus.

Where are the services offered?

At the CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest, the services are offered at Hôpital Anna-Laberge and Hôpital du Suroît
