The Montérégie has six specialized institutions which are divided into two categories : rehabilitation centres and the Youth Centre.
The Rehabilitation Centres
· Offer specialized health and social services to people who have a physical deficiency (whether auditory, visual, language and speech or motor) ;
· or offer specialized health and social services to people with an intellectual impairment or pervasive developmental disorders;
· or offer specialised health and social services to people suffering from alcoholism or other dependencies.

Centre jeunesse de la Montérégie
· Ensure the provision of social services to youth who have developmental, behaviour or social adjustment problems (abuse, negligence, delinquency, etc.) ;
· Ensure the provision of social services to the families of youth with these problems ;
· Ensure the provision of specialized services for youth (adoption, placement and social rehabilitation).
