What is Info-Santé 8-1-1?

Info-Santé 8-1-1 is a professional telephone consultation service which is an important component of front line healthcare services. It allows for a response to certain common health-related questions, or to direct a person to the appropriate entry point in the health and social services system. It is a part of the complementary services of the CSSS, medical clinics and family-practice groups (GMF), who will take charge of the patient with a particular health problem.

However, when an URGENT problem appears, you should go to the Emergency room when possible or call 9-1-1 to request help (police, ambulance, fire department).
