Fall Prevention – Seniors

If you are an autonomous senior living at home, you will be interested in our integrated dynamic balance program (Programme intégré d’équilibre dynamique – PIED), designed to help you prevent falls. Register for the workshops.

  • 65 years old and over
  • Duration: 12 weeks – 2 meetings a week 
  • Free workshops 
  • Groups of 8 to 10 people 
  • Components: group exercises, home exercises and discussion forums 
  • You must be able to do exercises while standing and have no major health problem (a medical exam could be required if necessary).

    Benefits: 
  •  Improved balance and lower body strength; 
  • Bone density maintenance in vulnerable areas: wrists, hips, spine; 
  • Adoption of safe behaviours; 
  • Acquisition of techniques on how to get up off the ground;
  • Regular physical activity.
