Teens seen at the Centre de Réadaptation en Dépendance (CRD) have a problematic use of psychoactive substances (alcohol, other drugs and medication) or a problematic use of the internet (video games, social networks). A problematic use of substances or a problematic use of the internet influences many areas of their lives and significantly affects their development. For teens, it can interfere with the normal integration and learning process specific to this stage of life, and can have major repercussions on all family members.
Caseworkers currently visit more than 20 schools in the Montérégie region, as well as a few in Montréal, with the goal of improving access to our services and providing a direct presence in the teens’ environment. We are also present at the Centre jeunesse de Montréal and at the Batshaw Youth and Family Centre in Montréal.
These services are also available at each of our facilities in order to reach all young people on the territory.
